How do I book?

You can contact us via email: We endeavour to respond to all emails within 12 hours. We also take phone bookings between 08.00 and 22.00 7 days a week on 01923 672441.

We will send confirmation of any booking by email, either to the person booking the car, the passenger or both, depending on your own particular requirements. Booking confirmations can also be sent by text if requested.

How much notice is required?

The more notice you can give us, the better it is. Ideally, at least a minimum of 48 hours’ notice is appreciated although we understand this may not always be possible. Bookings at short notice are accepted subject to availability of a chauffeur and car.

Can I pay by debit/credit card?

Yes, we accept all major debit and credit cards. A receipted invoice will be emailed to you after the transaction has been processed.

Where do I meet my chauffeur?

We have designated meeting points in the main airport terminals; we can forward to you our fact sheet showing these points.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

We monitor all incoming flights and will know of any delays prior to your chauffeur leaving base. However, if you are changing flights and your initial flight is delayed causing you to miss your connecting flight please contact us as soon as possible and inform us of your new flight details.

Do you charge waiting time?

60 minutes grace period is given to all incoming passengers at the airport. The grace period is timed from the indicated arrival time when the chauffeur leaves our base.

On all other occasions waiting time is charged on an hourly rate in 15 minute units.

Are you Licenced?

ACW Personal Cars is licenced with Watford Borough Council for private hire (chauffeur) bookings that are pre-arranged.

Car maintenance

All cars are maintained in line with the manufacturer’s recommendations. They are constantly valeted and cleaned on a daily basis. They are also subject to regular safety checks by the licencing authorities.

Child seats

We do not provide child car seats but are happy for you to bring your own. If you do not want to take your car seat with you to your destination, we will happily store the seat until your return.

In accordance with relevant law it is the passenger’s responsibility to ensure the seat is securely fitted in our vehicle.

Bank holidays

We operate throughout the year but charge extra for journeys on Christmas Day and New Years Day.
